Phoenix is a city with growing transportation options. Public-transit users can explore this site to discover where to hop on board and the transit mode best-suited to their needs, whether it’s local bus, commuter bus, neighborhood circulators or Dial-a-Ride for people with disabilities. If bicycling is more your speed, there’s information about that, too. Driving is still the most popular way to get around, so we’ve provided information about streets, freeways, travel routes, detours and street closures. If you’re headed to Copper Square for a sporting event or concert, you’ll find information about downtown parking.

• Downtown Phoenix Copper Square DASH -- or Downtown Area SHuttle -- is free weekdays. The service area includes the Capitol, sports venues, museums and shopping.

• The Tempe FLASH -- or Free Local Area SHuttle -- zips through the ASU campus as well as the greater Tempe area. It’s available weekdays from 7AM-8PM. Weekend service is added for events at Gammage Auditorium.

• The Scottsdale Trolley -- rides through Old Town and the Arts District. In service from mid-November through May, these open-air trolleys run 11AM-6PM Monday-Saturday. For Thursday evening Artwalk, service continues until 9PM.
